St. Oswald was the First Christian King. He brought monks from Iona to Lindisfarne bringing the message of Jesus to Northumbria and beyond.
Bede records the Northumbria flag of purple and gold stripes in Oswald's tomb. “Hung up over the monument, is his banner made of gold and purple”. This is the oldest known flag design in Britain.
Gold is associated with illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion and wisdom. Gold symbolises what is precious and valuable. Majesty, joy, celebration and the presence of God.
Purple is associated with pain, suffering, mourning and penitence. It is the colour of Lent, the colour of courage, resilience and royalty. Purple symbolises strength and transformation as well as the power of the spiritual and imaginative
The meandering spiralling gold and purple path of the ball represent the labyrinthine Celtic knot work of The Lindisfarne Gospels. Swirling back and forth, revolving, turning, gyrating over and under, in and out with the twists and turns symbolising the lives that were led by trying to live life in the spirit of Christ Jesus, in acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God.
An aid to help us in living out today the Celtic pathways and prayer ways
developed by Aidan to suit the people; in caring for others, searching for God, studying, and seeking ‘a true faith,
a simple life, and a helping hand; the three things prized most in Heaven’.
Available in medium 7cm. with velvet pouch. £22.50 Plus P&P
Comes with instructions and prayer meditations

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16)
The St. Oswald prayer liturgy and labyrinth meditation with the Celtic Pathways, Celtic Prayer Ways Labyrinth Ball
It started with a desire to completely walk a finger labyrinth by touch alone.
To be able to do this in a pocket whilst meditating or
practising mindfulness, praying or out walking for necessity or pleasure.
I found some designs online but the one that grabbed my attention
was from, now a good friend, Wawrzyniec Walczak a designer in Poland.
After deciding to try and get some 3D printed but not wanting to use plastic
things came to a bit of a halt. a time to wait and not rush ahead.
A friend told me about a natural polymer material, that is renewable,
biodegradable and made from corn starch, sugar cane and similar plants.
A few samples were printed and I used and prayed with the labyrinth ball
for over a year. A portable pilgrimage in your pocket!
The design was enhanced by David at oneway UK. who suggested making
the print texture of the ball, dinner and finer as the middle was reached.
I found I could pray just by touch with the labyrinth sphere
knowing where I was on the path through the texture.
I used the ball for over a year in lots of different situations
but especially when praying or walking.
The labyrinth ball prayer sphere is an exceptionally high-quality fine detailed
tactile & kinaesthetic labyrinth prayer globe
that feels good in the hands and the heart.
I had a few balls printed for friends and family
but soon found friends of friends wanted them.
I have tried to help people by getting some created for folk
who doesn't have access or time to 3D printing technology
The costs involved in making the prayer sphere are to cover
the time it takes to print a prayer ball, 15-20 hours per ball.
They are printed in 2 halves, then sanded and assembled
together, dedicated blessed and sent out.
An instruction leaflet accompanies each ball
and the hope is to add more online video prayer meditations.
For each ball, a donation is made to make finger labyrinths available
in hospital and hospice waiting rooms and well-being charities in the UK.
Printed ethically in the UK
from ecologically friendly sustainable
plant-based material.
Labyrinth prayer path, meditation balls.
The Labyrinth is an ancient symbol, metaphor and experience of prayer - A journey into one's deeper self and into God.
An opportunity for spiritual renewal and encouragement on your journey.
Labyrinths offer a welcome opportunity to slow down, still the busy mind, and connect again with our deep inner resources.
The Labyrinth Ball is a new resource designed by Wawrzyniec Walczak, Poland. It is 3D printed by Oneway UK for Jim
The spherical labyrinth offers a unique, interesting version of the Labyrinth.
It is unlike other finger labyrinths that are flat.
The labyrinth globe takes your journey for a deeper experience as you feel your way around the path using touch as the main way of following the path.
The labyrinth enhances mindfulness and meditation, rest and recharging creating opportunities for recovery, discovery, growth and transformation.
The Labyrinth bring printed by onewayuk. Each ball takes 15-20 hours each to be 3D printed and is produced to a very high quality.
