It started with a wish of walking a finger labyrinth by touching completely, in my pocket whilst praying, meditating or practising mindfulness when walking
Initially, I found a designer in Poland which was a good starAfter deciding to try and get some 3D printed but not wanting to use plastic things came to a bit of a halt. a time to wait and not rush ahead.
A friend told me about a natural organic plant polymer that is ecologically much friendlier than plastic, renewable,
biodegradable having been made from corn starch, sugar cane and similar plants.
A few samples were printed and I used and prayed and played with the labyrinth sphere for over a year.
refining a portable pilgrimage in your pocket!
The design was enhanced by myself and David at Oneway UK. who suggested making the print texture of the ball, finer and finer as the middle of the sphere was reached.
I found praying by feel was a profound way of embodying prayer engaging with the path to reach the middle and the ends through the touch of the texture of the sphere.
The labyrinth prayer spheres are exceptionally high-quality, finely detailed
tactile & kinaesthetic globes that feel good in the hands and the heart.
It takes at least 20 to individually print each sphere.
They are printed in 2 halves, checked for quality and assembled together, dedicated, receive their blessing ritual and rolled out in ecologically sustainable packaging.!
Instructions, prayers and meditations come with each Spirit Labyrinth Sphere and the hope is to add more online video prayer meditations.
For each Labyrinth purchased , a donation is made to make finger labyrinths available in hospital and hospice waiting rooms and to those in recovery from addiction and in those in prison.
Printed ethically in the UK from ecologically friendly sustainable plant-based material.
